PRIME exits and American Healthcare Capital are pleased to exclusively introduce a DME company that created a specialized walker which is designed to provide support to those with reduced trunk and upper extremity control. This is achieved via underarm supports that place the user in a fully upright position, reducing forward leans and decreasing arm strain. This uniquely designed device amazingly gives freedom to those that have been in a wheelchair for numerous years and allows them the mobility to independently help themselves. The product’s configuration offers individuals access to better quantity and quality of ambulation within their communities.

The design is patent-pending, and the company has just begun the process of applying for Medicare CPT codes. A provider is able to bill the patient for the full cost of the unit until Medicare approves it as a medical device. They are also a VA approved vendor.

The United States remains the largest medical device market in the world and is expected to grow over $208 million in the coming year. Because this device will be classified as a rehabilitative device (which can be covered under insurance plans) and not as a walker (which is not typically covered under insurance plans), we are confident there is a strong financial payoff to developing this product and bringing it to market.
